Small bungalow style home on West King Street serving as a law office for Judith M. Hauser, an attorney specializing in real estate law. The house, built in 1936, is one of only a handful of bungalow style homes in Hillsborough. The bungalow architectural style never established a toehold in the smaller towns of the American South.
A wooden frame arch serves as the entryway to the yard, covered with jasmine no longer blooming in the hot and muggy August weather. A similar fate soon awaits the crepe myrtle nearer the house. Blooms cling to the end of the branches, splashes of fuschia in the sea of green.
